RCC Projects

International

Over recent years, RCC International has proudly supported projects both locally and overseas. We are currently supporting a group of primary age children in Gambia and receive regular updates on the progress of these children. Our money helps to support their tuition, purchase of schoolbooks, hot meals each day, personal items such as toiletries and medical expenses.

We support an orphanage in Mexico City which caters for preschool children and abandoned babies. Over the years our donations have assisted in the payment of wages for nursing staff, and general running costs towards the home itself, ultimately the needs of the children. The aim for the orphanage is to provide safe but temporary accommodation and eventually facilitate the transfer of children to good adoptive families.

The Local Community

We have several local micro projects and delight in supplying those items that young children would enjoy but are unlikely to receive due to financial restraints.

We support these children through local food banks, who generally assist families with essential food and household, whilst we endeavour to offer items specifically for the children. Whether it is a packet of chocolate biscuits, yogurts and crisps or colouring pencils and books, anything that would delight a young child - that they would not normally be able to have - is our aim.

We love our birthday box, planned with the assistance of a group of local primary aged children we were able to research what they would like in their box. We now have a selection of items including sweets, colouring books, crayons, cuddly toys and in one instance one little boy asked for a children's bible.

We have also been able to offer support to families with young children who are refugees in our local community. This support has varied from toys, equipment and even financial assistance with legal costs and visa applications. This can of course be an expensive legal and lengthy process.

Books

Our founder Anna has a series of children's picture books, namely Rianbo's Travels and an accompanying doll. Profits from the sale of these books goes to our charity fundraising. If you would like to purchase or find out more, please follow the link below for more details.

We will send out an application form for your completion and ask for evidence from your community worker, social worker or other health care professional of your circumstances.
